The night before Christmas. |
David starting to open presents. |
David with a new monkey. |
At noon on December 30th... 12 inches (30
centimeters) and growing. |
Another view of the deck, which is on the second
floor behind the house. |
At 5pm, there was more snow on the deck. |
A view out the front of the house across the stream
and pond (under the snow) towards the neighbors' house. |
The "Christmas" tree near the house with
the pond beyond it. |
David decided to go out and shovel the front
steps. However, he had to find them first. |
There was 15.5 inches (39+ centimeters) of snow on the
driveway when he headed out. |
Help arrived immediately when our snowplow service
drove up the driveway (about 400 feet or 125 meters) from the
unplowed street. They promised to come back after another
next 6 inches... |
How high were the snow piles after the snowplow
left? Taller than David! |

A sleepy cat on a couch.
No snowstorm is going to keep Purrpuss from her naps. |
She woke up, sat up, and refused to pose for a
picture, but I got one anyway. |

Purrpuss climbing the steps on her way to another
meal. |
