Visitors Coming by Plane

Tweed-New Haven Airport, from which taxi, bus, and car rental service is available, is four miles from campus. There is frequent limousine service to New Haven from other airports, and sometimes this is the more reliable way to get here, rather than flying directly into Tweed. Tweed has frequent delayed and/or cancelled flights given that it is such a small airport, and of course has fewer flights than the major airports in surrounding areas. Connecticut Limousine (located at the Long Wharf Terminal, I-95 Exit 46 in New Haven, 800 320-7298) services Kennedy International Airport (New York—eighty miles to campus), LaGuardia International Airport (New York—seventy-two miles to campus), and Newark International Airport (Newark, New Jersey—ninety-two miles to campus). Service to Bradley International Airport (Windsor Locks, Connecticut--fifty-three miles to campus and near Hartford) is provided by Fitzgerald Airport Express (800 468-7287, #2), by Prime Time Shuttle of Connecticut (800 RED-VANS), and by Connecticut Limousine. For more information, see the section below.
